This set is modeled after the Sikorsky S-76D helicopter. Introduced in 1977 by Lockheed Martin, the S-76 series was originally built for the rigorous demands of the offshore oil & gas transportation. However, the helicopter's capabilities made also it a desirable aircraft for airline and helicopter emergency medical/air ambulance services.
