In this DVD, we hear from Medal of Honor recipient Major General Patrick Brady, who is also the author of Dead Men Flying. HIs talk features the Bell UH-1 Iroquois. Patrick Brady assumed command of Detachment A of the 57th Medical Detachment after the previous commander, Major Charles Kelley, had been killed in action. During a second tour in Southeast Asia, Brady served as second in command of the 54th Medical Detachment. His actions on January 6, 1968 earned him the Medal of Honor. The citation includes the following: Throughout that day Major General Brady utilized three helicopters to evacuate a total of 51 seriously wounded men, many of whom would have perished without prompt medical treatment. Brady's bravery was in the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself and the U.S. Army.
