The B-24 Liberator was an American long-range heavy bomber and patrol aircraft, also used to combat U-boats. The Liberator was designed and built by the American Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. Its task was to bomb remote cities, factories, bases and other enemy targets. With the entry of the US into World War II, production of the aircraft increased.
