The Concorde is a supersonic turbojet passenger plane. It was a product of the idea of supersonic transport realized by companies from France and Great Britain operating in concert. It was flown for the first time in 1969.

Seven years later it was introduced to the world for 27 years of service. The Concorde flew mostly on Transatlantic routes. From London Heathrow (British Airways) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (Air France) to JFK airport in New York and Dulles in Washington. It reached record speeds; the flight lasted about half as much as with traditional planes.

Only 20 planes were produced due to high production costs and expensive operations. The last Concorde flight took place on November 26, 2003. This model made of COBI construction blocks presents the Concorde G-BBDG supersonic passenger plane.

It was a test model in British Airways colors. It performed test flights for several years and never entered service. With time, it began to be used as a spare parts base for regularly flying Concordes in the fleet. The aircraft has been exhibited at the Brooklands Museum (Weybridge) since 2003. This new model from COBI is faithfully reproduced using 455 blocks.

All graphics are pad-printed on the blocks. No stickers are used in this set! The model is equipped with retractable landing gear. When the wheels are extended, they can be turned. The rudder is also movable. This authentic looking model will certainly meet the expectations of aviation enthusiasts, collectors and children.
