This print is produced by Tiny Bird Press, a family-run design, illustration, and print shop founded by artist Rob Shwager, who got his start doing concert posters and other promotional work for major musical acts.

Ready for Takeoff depicts a classic scene familiar to anyone who grew up with a love of aviation — a young boy excitedly launching his rubber-powered free-flight airplane while his dog looks on. This works captures the unbridled enthusiasm of each of our first flights and, while the drawing of the model that forms the backdrop of the piece shows the spirit of experimentation as the young pilot is already thinking about how to improve the design. Each 18" x 24" print of Ready for Takeoff is unique, carefully screen-printed by hand, and then signed and numbered by the artist. Ready for Takeoff is a limited edition — only 80 of this series have been printed, fewer than 20 remain, and, when they’re gone, they’re gone.
